The first photo of the newlyweds quickly went viral, with Akhil and Zainab dressed in coordinated traditional white outfits. Zainab looked stunner in a silk saree adorned with statement jewellery, while Akhil looked every bit the dashing groom in a white dhoti and kurta.
Videos from the vibrant wedding festivities went viral as Telugu cinema royalty joined in the celebrations. Naga Chaitanya, Akhil’s half-brother, was seen dancing energetically to the beats of the dhol, while their father, veteran actor Nagarjuna, brought effortless charm and rhythm to the dance floor.
The celebration kicked off early Friday morning, and the guest list featured some of Telugu cinema’s most beloved stars. Ram Charan made a striking entrance in a beige kurta, while megastar Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha also graced the occasion. Actress Sobhita Dhulipala, who arrived with Naga Chaitanya, turned heads in a gleaming gold saree.
Akhil and Zainab’s engagement in November 2024 had already set tongues wagging, especially as it came just before speculation about Chaitanya and Sobhita’s own wedding began. Zainab is a Mumbai-based artist known for her abstract works and a brief stint in acting, has seamlessly stepped into the spotlight.
