Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 closed lower on Tuesday, weighed down by losses in IT, financials, and other rate-sensitive sectors. The decline comes ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's policy decision and growing concerns over global trade tensions and fiscal risks in the U.S.The BSE Sensex fell 634 points, or 0.78%, to close at 80,737, while the NSE Nifty declined 174 points, or 0.7%, to settle at 24,542. Earlier in the session, the Sensex had plunged as much as 798 points to 80,575, while the Nifty touched a low of 24,502.Here are the stocks that witnessed maximum action today:

Fertilizer stocks

An early and average monsoon expectation drove the shares of fertilizer stocks higher. The shares of The Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers surged 18% and 6.5% respectively on the BSE. PCBL shares ended 4.4% higher while Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals shares shot up by 4%. Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation ended 4.8% higher.

Realty stocks

Amid a surge in the realty sector, the shares of Sobha, Brigade Enterprises, Prestige Estates and Phoenix Mills closed higher between 2-6%.

Yes Bank

Shares of Yes Bank cracked 10.45% to Rs 20.85 on the BSE during Tuesday’s trade, following reports that 3% equity in the bank changed hands through multiple block deals in the session.

Aptus Value Housing Finance

Aptus Value Housing shares slumped 9.4% to Rs 306.95 on the BSE on Tuesday after the company’s 8.8% equity was likely sold in today’s session via a block deal.

Ola Electric Mobility
