Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:25AM

RattanIndia Power Ltd.(up 3.31%), KEC International Ltd.(up 3.29%), NTPC Green Energy Ltd.(up 3.24%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd.(up 3.19%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(up 3.17%), India Power Corporation Ltd.(up 3.15%), NHPC Ltd.(up 3.14%), GE Power India Ltd.(up 3.12%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd.(up 3.02%) and Energy Development Company Ltd.(up 2.65%) were among the top gainers.

Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat)Ltd.(down 2.93%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd.(down 1.98%), GE Vernova T&D India Ltd.(down 1.53%), ACME Solar Holdings Ltd.(down 0.82%), Ravindra Energy Ltd.(down 0.29%) and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.(down 0.19%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 118.41 points up at 25121.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 375.84 points at 82564.83 at around 10:25AM.

Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 3.29%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.88%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.49%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 2.44%), Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 2.23%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.07%), Trent Ltd.(up 1.85%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.52%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.36%) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.32%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.75%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.74%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.7%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.68%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.5%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.48%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.42%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.36%), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.33%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.31%) were trading in the red.
