Has Barron Trump found romance? A big revelation about his Secret Service takes internet by storm

    Synopsis

Rumors are swirling about Barron Trump's dating life, fueled by a viral TikTok video and anonymous sources claiming he's seeing WNBA star Catlin Clark. Despite the challenges of having Secret Service protection, sources suggest Barron, who just finished his first year at NYU, is navigating romance while maintaining a low profile, much like his mother, Melania.

A TikTok video has gone viral claiming that US President Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron Trump, is dating WNBA star Catlin Clark, as per multiple reports. Members of Barron Trump's Secret Service are reportedly "used to" handling the girlfriends of the youngest Trump. Speaking to NewsNation anonymously, one of Barron's friends said that the 19-year-old "has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot", reports The Irish Star.

The source did not provide any additional details on the girl in question. Reports indicate that Barron just finished his first year at New York University.

    Has Barron Trump found romance?

Dating comes with its own set of challenges when you're the son of the US president. Beyond navigating life in the public eye, Barron Trump also has to manage the constant presence of Secret Service agents. While having a full-time security detail isn’t exactly ideal for a teenager trying to socialize or meet someone new, it doesn’t make building friendships — or even starting a relationship — entirely out of reach.

While Barron and his dates try to keep a low profile in the public eye, they're never truly alone—Secret Service agents are always nearby, even during romantic outings. Unsurprisingly, having a full-time security detail doesn’t exactly make it easy to socialize or build new friendships.

“He can have a girlfriend as the Secret Service guys are well-versed on how to handle this,” a political source tells PEOPLE. “Anyone who says being under Secret Service protection would keep him from dating is way off.”

According to the source, most agents aren't shocked by the actions of the first family. "Their stories could fill an X-rated novel," the source said. While PEOPLE has not confirmed that Barron does, in fact, have a girlfriend, rumours certainly abound about the young scion finding love. “Barron has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot. He does have friends he just (unlike his father Donald Trump) screws the limelight," a source told News Nation.

The source added that Barron is "much more like his mother, Melania", as he tends to keep to himself. "He keeps his head down and gets on with it. He is not trying to be BMOC (big man on campus)."

According to a source, Barron Trump generally avoids political discussions. “Barron is pretty apolitical — he stays out of it,” the source said.

This aligns with comments made by Kaya Walker, former president of the NYU College Republicans, who told Vanity Fair that Barron keeps to himself. “He’s kind of an oddity on campus,” Walker noted. “He goes to class and then heads straight home.”

Despite being seen as somewhat reclusive, Barron is said to have formed friendships at the Manhattan campus. “He’s no slouch and definitely catches the attention of the girls,” another source shared.

"And not just at college. He had female friends in high school in Florida. He gets along well with his female friend," the source commented. Another source, who claimed her daughter knew Barron when they attended high school, claimed the boy was well-liked and a regular guy.

“Barron didn’t hold court and act like he was better than the others. He was in school and did his thing like everyone else,” the source told People. Another source commented, "It’s hard to believe he is Donald Trump’s son as he is more laid back, but he does have some of his moxie in a low-key way."
