
Donald Trump Jr. is not discounting a White House run, While addressing the Qatar Economic Forum on Wednesday, the 47-year-old son of US president Donald Trump suggested a presidential campaign might be in his future, saying “maybe one day” it will happen and acknowledging “that calling is there,” according to a report.
The remark was made in response to a query from Bloomberg moderator Joumanna Nasr Bercetche, who asked him how interested he was of following in his father's political footsteps, as per the Independent. Trump Jr. initially laughed at the question, while there was applause from the crowd.
Trump Jr., the current executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said, “Here we go. Well… oh boy,” adding, “It’s an honour to be asked and an honour to see that some people are OK with it," quoted the Independent.
He then went on to say, “So the answer is: I don’t know, maybe one day. You know, that calling is there. I’ll always be very active in terms of being a vocal proponent of these things. I think my father has truly changed the Republican Party,” as quoted in the report.
