When to Watch on Netflix in US and Other Regions?

Sony Pictures has a deal with Netflix that started in 2021 and runs through 2026. All Sony films, including those under Sony Pictures Classics, arrive on Netflix during the first window. This begins 18 months after their exclusive theatrical release. Most Sony films appear on Netflix around four months after they hit theaters.

If the schedule remains unchanged, Karate Kid: Legends is expected to release on Netflix around September 27, 2025. After that, the movie will be available on Netflix in the US for 18 months. Following its Netflix run, the film will move to Disney+ and Hulu.

The Netflix deal applies only to the US. However, India usually receives Sony films around the same time. Other countries may have longer waits. For example, the UK has second-window rights. Viewers there can expect the movie sometime in early 2027. Other regions will also see staggered releases.
